Abdur Rahman Muhammad
Abdur Rahman Muhammad (Ghanaian, b. 1992) is a contemporary artist who resides in Accra. He has been a practicing artist for over five years. His works are usually influenced by the culture of western music, especially hip-hop and its effect on the youth of Ghana. Abdur tells stories through his works, as if he were writing a song, songs of hope for his people, and the youth in his community. He applies oil and charcoal in his works, and emphasises on texture, portraying the emotions and hidden sadness of the “rich” youth in Accra.
